In your body, your joints work together like a well oiled machine. HOWEVER, sometimes through our jobs and not moving as much or sitting too much, we can get stiff or develop a movement dysfunction in different areas of our body. This can lead to stress on other joints that require the body to work and move together. Our shoulders are joints that need movement through our neck and through our mid back in order to work properly. In this video, I go over how to see if you have a movement dysfunction in your upper back. Did you know that your body is all connected? When you reach over your head or reach toward the side you move not only your shoulder and arm but also your mid back and low back. One area that gets forgotten about when dealing with shoulder pain is the mid back. (where your ribs attach) If you have movement dysfunction there then you are increasing your risk for injury and/or increasing stress to an already injured shoulder. Next week i'm going to let you know how to fund out if you have a movement problem in this area.
